Films: David Lynch and Blue Velvet

Hello everyone, today we'll talk about my favorite film director: David Lynch. He is an American filmmaker and visual artist and I've received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director (for The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive). In addition, he has won awards at the Cannes Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. I like this film director because his films portray human subjectivity deep into unknown worlds. In addition, he often uses sound and music in his films that complement the story, as well as images and different takes elaborate. This director, my favorite movie is Blue Velvet. This film I've seen more than three times, act in it: Kyle MacLachlan, Laura Dern and Isabella Rossellini. Blue Velvet is a mystery film that exhibits elements of surrealism. Blue Velvet tells the story of Jeffrey, a college student visiting his sick father. Jeffrey route to the hospital found a human ear, which then forwarded to the city police. Since this event involves unwittingly Jeffrey and curiosity in a mysterious case that will take you to meet Dorothy, which is the portrait of the femme fatale.

In this film, one of the things I like most is the music, this is because the music is inseparable from the history or the film, is attached to it. The song of the same name of the film is used as part of the story, where a part of history with the song.

Blue Velvet, was very well received both in the specialist press and critics alike, being acclaimed and nominated for awards at several film festivals.
In my opinion, Blue Velvet is one of the best movies I've seen, so I recommend to everyone reading this article right now. That's all a film that combines elements of action, suspense and excitement.

I think if I had to see this movie again because every time I would see them again you realize that there are details that had previously ignored and they were there to reveal part of the secret of this film.

That would be all for today, see you later

Sports and Execise

In my life is very important the physical activity. I've always played sports since I was 5 years. Although there have been periods in which the practice has been more intense. When I was little I plays sports several hours a day, but as I got older, I began to give priority to other activities so the time spent on sports and exercise decreased. Currently, I’m a bit lazy but I play sport but a few times a week.
I like to play sports especially Taekwondo, a Korean martial art which is recognized as an Olympic sport.I practice Taekwondo four years ago. I love to practice this martial art because it develops various physical and social skills.
The Taekwondo is compuest of the three components mainly: poomsae, Kyukpa and kyorugi
Kyorugi is the part of Taekwondo that I like better. main part of In the third part, one as a practitioner is face in face a real opponent (other competitor). Se aplican defensive and attacking techniques. The sparring can be in two categories: arranged or free style. The combat required a special safe equipment (head gear, forearm guard, foot guard, hand guard, shind guard, groin guard and chest guard). In arranged style I develop cordination skills, precise techniques’ practising having a sense of the target and in the free style I develop speed, power, strenght, courage and sense of the situation.
The other part that I like of Taekwondo is the Poomsae. It`s consitency of defensive and attacking movements against and imaginary opponents.I like Poomsae because develops power and respiration control, speed and balance. Also, It is the technical reservoir of discipline.

Santiago

Santiago is a city that can perform many activities if you come sightseeing or you just want to go out because you're bored just another day.
In Santiago you can find cultural, recreational or visit parks and hills or even go hiking in the mountains.
If you travel to Santiago I recommend you visit the "Santuario de la Naturaleza Yerba Loca", it is an excellent choice for an afternoon or a weekend amid the tranquility and beauty of nature. Yerba Loca is located 25 km from Santiago on lap 15 Farellones road. In this park you can perform several activities: trekking, mountaineering, ice climbing, horseback riding, observing flora and fauna, and picnics.
Another recommended place to visit is "El Morado", a national monument located one hour from Santiago, in the "Cajon del Maipo". "El Morado" covers the drawer Morales River and surrounding hills, in the mountain ranges of the Andes, emphasizing the Lagurara "El morado" and Glacier San Francisco, which can be known after a walk of 2 hours.
In the city we can enjoy various sights, like the visit to the museum of "Bellas Artes", where you will find a permanent exhibition of Chilean paintings. You can also visit the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC).

Also, another scenario that could recommend is to visit the Cerro San Cristobal. On this hill you can visit the Japanese park, botanical garden and Zoo Metropolitan. Additionally, you can take a tour in the traditional "Teleferico de Santiago", from which one can admire the city from above.

A point of interest for all visitors to the downtown, which is the great historical, architectural and cultural heritage of the Nation. Among them: El Palacio de la Moneda, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, the Stock Exchange, the Courts of Justice, Forest Park, Torre ENTEL, the riding club and the Red House

I must note the Bella Vista neighborhood, it is a busy place for tourists to own restaurants, art galleries, pubs and houses of renowned writers like Pablo Neruda's Chascona. Other sites to be visited are: Barrio Paris Londres, Barrio Yungay, Barrio Concha y Toro, Barrio Brasil, Barrio Lastarria, among others.

MUSIC

I think that I would not have studied music, nor would have wanted to be a musician. But like me interested in music, because I think one can gain access to culture through it, you can learn to express feelings and moods of others. For this, I'm interested in all types of music and it makes me curious to listen and learn from chamber music to pop music. Although I must admit that pop music is not my favorite nor is it between my preferences.

My first experience with music dates back to when I was little because my dad was always singing and listening to chamber music and opera. Then I met artists like The Beatles and Queen. Then, I had approaches to folklore, the tango and many other styles. I assume that preferences have more to some than by others. For instance, I hate electronic music.

I'm not going to concerts for a long time ago. I think that last thing I was 1 year ago and was in the theater Universidad de Chile. I remember there was an international cycle of chamber music with guest artists and played some pieces by Bartok, a Hungarian composer.

In these few words I have written of my experience with music, I hope you have fun with this post.

See you at the next entry
